Card Inspiration – Bow-Ho-Ho Christmas Card
I couldn’t resist creating a clean yet fun background using multiple die-cut bows in shades of mint, blush pink, and festive red. To tie the look together (pun intended!), I added a few glittery gold bows for that extra holiday sparkle.
Before the step-by-step, here’s what I adore about this design: it’s modern, playful, and so easy to replicate with leftover die cuts — perfect for batch-making Christmas cards!
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Create your base – Start with a blush pink A2 card base and layer with matching cardstock.
- Die-cut the bows – Using the Build-A-Bow Christmas Tree Die Set, cut a selection of bows from red, pink, mint, and glitter gold cardstock.
- Assemble the background – Arrange and adhere the bows randomly across the front panel, mixing colours and textures for variety.
- Add a sentiment – Use bold red letters for “MERRY” and a gold glitter “Christmas” die cut layered on white for contrast.
- Finishing touches – Wrap red and white baker’s twine around the panel for a festive pop and mount it with foam tape for dimension.
This cheerful design captures the spirit of the season perfectly — festive, elegant, and full of joy!
