Card Inspiration – Thank You for Everything

For this card, I wanted to highlight the florals in a soft watercolour style, with the birds adding a touch of movement and charm. Here’s how you can recreate this design:
Step-by-step instructions:
- Stamping the florals – Using markers, colour directly onto the floral stamps. I used shades of pinks for the blooms and soft greens for the leaves.
- Water spritzing technique – Lightly spray the coloured stamp with water before pressing onto watercolour cardstock. This creates a soft, washed-out look, mimicking watercolour painting without the need for brushes.
- Die cutting – Once dry, use the coordinating dies to cut out the florals and foliage. Do the same for the bird images, stamped in a neutral brown shade.
- Background preparation – On a white card panel, add subtle ink splatters in a coordinating shade to create depth.
- Layering – Arrange your die-cut florals and birds across the card front, using foam tape for dimension.
- Sentiment – Stamp and heat-emboss the “Thank you for everything” sentiment in white onto black cardstock, then cut it out and adhere to the centre of the design.
- Finishing touches – Add sequins or gems for a little sparkle, and wrap a piece of twine for added texture.
The result is a soft and elegant thank you card, full of layers and delicate detail, perfect for any occasion.
