Hello crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 23 of the challenge — and it’s time for Sketch Challenge #5! Today’s layout gives you a bold central focal point with a clean, modern strip running across the middle. It’s such a versatile sketch and honestly one of those designs you can revisit all year round.

Daily Challenge

Your mission today is to take this sketch and interpret it in your own creative way. Think balance, structure, and how your focal elements play with that crisp horizontal line.
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
• Flip or rotate the sketch for a fresh layout
• Use patterned papers to build contrast and depth
• Create a strong central cluster using florals, icons, or die-cuts
• Add movement with angled layers, textured strips, or twine
• Keep things clean — or go big with layers and dimension
Today’s Project

For today’s card, I used the beautiful Peppermint Twist Collection from Rosie’s Studio — and honestly, it brings such a soft, whimsical Christmas vibe. The pastel poinsettias, gentle greens, and playful patterns are perfect for this sketch.
I built the design around a large floral cluster, pairing layered poinsettias with greenery and delicate accents. Behind that, the crumpled patterned papers add texture without overwhelming the composition, while the bold MERRY Christmas sentiment sits right across the horizontal strip, keeping everything grounded.
A few sequins and a simple twine bow give the whole card that sweet, festive finish — soft, bright, and full of charm.
