For this project, I wanted to capture the hopeful message that tulips bring with them. Soft pastels paired with textured details create a calm, uplifting feel. The sentiment “Where tulips bloom, so does hope” ties everything together beautifully.
Here’s how you can recreate this card:
Step-by-step instructions:
- Create the base – Start with a soft pastel card base. I used a light mint shade for a fresh spring feel.
- Add texture – Emboss a panel with a geometric or scalloped pattern and adhere it to the card front for extra dimension.
- Die-cut your focal frame – Use a shaped die in white cardstock to create the perfect background for your tulips. Lightly emboss the die-cut for added detail.
- Stamp & colour the tulips – Using the Timeless Tulips Clear Stamps, stamp the tulip cluster in black ink. Colour the blooms in a soft pink with green leaves using alcohol markers or your preferred colouring medium.
- Fussy cut & layer – Trim around your stamped tulip image and adhere it to the die-cut frame, slightly overlapping for depth.
